LPN/OR Technician New

Under general supervision, you will maintain strict sterile technique and ensure aseptic conditions throughout surgical procedures. You’ll anticipate the surgeon’s needs and provide timely assistance, actively supporting patient care and safety at every step. As a key member of the operating room team, you will use OR supplies responsibly and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues to deliver efficient, high-quality care.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.

Preferred:

• Previous clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Previous Operating Room experience.

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Current New York State Practical Nurse License.
• CPR Certification required within 3 months of hire.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in an office environment that requires working in proximity to other employees and patients.
• The office is air conditioned as well as heated.
• Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• Fast-paced environment including frequent interruptions.
• PPE- Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, Gloves per UHS Infection Control and CDC guidelines when appropriate.
