Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the multidisciplinary care team as the primary coordinator, ensuring that radiation therapists, oncologists, and support staff are perfectly aligned for seamless patient transitions.
• Lead the clinical monitoring of patients by identifying and responding to subtle changes in condition, ensuring that treatment plans remain safe, effective, and responsive to the patient’s needs.
• Empower patients and families through expert education on treatment side effects and self-care, providing the clarity and confidence they need to navigate their oncology journey.
• Execute precise clinical interventions by accurately translating physician orders into actionable care, maintaining the highest standards of safety in a high-tech treatment environment.
• Streamline the path to survivorship by proactively coordinating discharge and follow-up care, ensuring patients have a clear, supported roadmap after their final treatment.
  
  

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date reqired.
• Certification specializing in Chemotherapy preferred.
  
  

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
  
  

Additional Preferences

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must hold a current, unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Clinical Assessment Skills: Proven ability to monitor complex patient conditions and communicate critical data to a specialized medical team.
