Men's Health Month -June

Posted about 7 years ago by Yolanda Scipio-Jackson

June is Men’s Health Awareness Month
June is Men’s Health Awareness Month. Over the next four weeks the NBNA Ad Hoc Committee on Men’s Health will present a “Men’s Health Moment” focusing on medical conditions and how they affect the male population. A brief overview will be given defining the condition, sharing brief statistics, describing some risk factors, providing treatment options, and ways to support. Topics included will be erectile dysfunction (ED), prostate cancer, mental health and depression and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).   We are seeking more ways to raise awareness  around  issues  concerning our communities so that we may be a valuable health resource impacting positive change.
If you would like to view information at a later time, visit www.nbna.org and click on the program tab. Please feel free to provide feedback to NBNA letting us know if the information presented is beneficial and if there are any other topics of interest.  Look forward to human papillomavirus (HPV) in males and mental health presentations during our 46th Annual Institutes and Conference in St. Louis, MO, July 31 - August 5, 2018.
